We are named after the Ancient Greek Goddess of the Arts, Athena. We offer private tuition from beginners to advanced musicians on all major instruments, in the major forms of dance, and across visual art forms. Formed and staffed by only the most passionate, driven, experienced and professional staff, you can be assured Athena will give each student every opportunity to soar. One of the driving factors behind the founding of Athena College, is our understanding of the pressures placed on students, particularly in secondary school, trying to juggle a serious arts education with the demands of school. | DESCRIPTION
I teach acoustic, electric, classical and bass guitar for all ages and all levels from beginners to advanced students. All of my lessons are one on one and I tailor my lessons to the needs and requirements of each individual student. I believe that the best way of learning the guitar is to learn the type of music that is most appealing to you, in other words 'what moves you' to want to play the guitar. Although this method of teaching is harder for the teacher, the benefits to the student surpass more traditional methods. I teach from my spacious and comfortable air conditioned home studio in Ashmore, on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. I have many school age students as well mature students of all ages and I am a registered blue card holder. My studio is located in a safe and secure environment and parents are able to sit in on the first lesson if they desire. |
