DESCRIPTION
Kirra Surf Life Saving Club owes its beginnings to a tragedy that occured on January 6th, 1916. On that day two friends went swimming on the unpatrolled beach and immediately got into trouble. Sadly one of the friends drowned. The local community acted swiftly and a public meeting was called on January 07th 1916 where it was decided that the Kirra Surf Life Saving Club be formed.

DESCRIPTION
Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club is one of the most respected Clubs in Australia. Our primary aim is watching over and caring for thousands of people who use the Kurrawa beach for recreation. Kurrawa Surf Club was first established in 1958 and we are looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2008. We will keep you informed of the celebrations as the date approaches.Once again our Annual Pacific Fair Surf Challenge will be held on Saturday 30 December 2006. All Queensland Clubs must enter via the SLSQ Surfmate program and all other Clubs can enter by completing a nomination form which will be available shortly. There will be $50,000 in cash, prizes and giveaways so come along and enjoy a great carnival! Come in to the Surf Club and check out the great views, great food and friendly atmosphere.

DESCRIPTION
Southport SLSC was established in 1924. Apart from the loss of our original clubhouse to mother nature and sever sand erosion in 1936, our clubhouse still remains at its original location, however it has undergone several appearance changes, and makeovers. In recent times our facilities have and will continue to be upgraded to improve the amenities for our members, their guests and supporters.
